Leyton Kyokushinkai Karate Club has been teaching karate in the Leyton and Leytonstone area for over 20 years.

The club was founded by Shihan Roy Banton, and when he retired from teaching it was taken over by the current instructor, Senpai Marios Petrou.

The club has a busy junior section with students aged from 6 and above. The senior classes focus on fitness and conditioning, often using basic techniques and kata as a base to develop stamina and over all fitness.

We have a history of tournament success with trophies in kata and clicker fighting. We have yet to win a trophy in knockdown competition. (Senpai Marios placed second in a regional knockdown tournament, but that was before he moved to become Leyton’s instructor.)
